Chapter Nine

Devon was so pleased by how things were going so far. Sure, Peter had been the one to make known he wanted to be able to do scenes with Swan and Max, to explore their dynamic together. Hell, that meant Peter had been the one who’d recognized his need. The rest of them had sort of just followed. Right into something amazing. This morning’s scene proved that.

And now the four of them were sitting on the couch, the boys between him and Swan, but Swan’s hand was on his shoulder, his on Swan’s. They were definitely all four together now in mindset and body language as they waited to start their meeting with Matt and Adam. Their meeting to set out their needs and their rules.

Devon had the feeling he had the biggest learning curve. Max needed firm rules and needed them to be consistent, where his Peter was more flexible. Having played this morning, though... well, that had been good on a deep, deep level. The sex had been good, but bringing Max down from his stress, the three of them doing it together -- that had been right.

He reached for his Peter, fingers on his boy’s thigh. He caught Max’s gaze and smiled. Lovely man. This was going to work. Right now, he really believed it.

Matt and Adam came in, Adam carrying a tray with coffees and biscuits.

“Good morning, everyone.” Matt looked like he’d had an amazing evening, grin wide.

They all answered with a good morning of their own.

Adam set the tray down. “Help yourselves.”

Matt had a pad of paper and a pen, and Devon had to admit, his focus was more on that than the coffee.

“Master, do you want any?” Peter looked so comfortable, so easy where he was.

“I’d love some. You can serve Swan and Max, too.”

Adam was prepping Matt’s coffee, putting a couple of cookies on a little plate and handing both over.

“I don’t need anything, Peter. I’m happy,” murmured Max.

“Give me two cookies,” suggested Swan. “I’ll share with Max.”

“Yes, Sir. Not even coffee, Maxie?”

Max shook his head.

“I can get some water,” Adam suggested, already standing.

“No. No, I’m really good. Like, totally happy.”

“If you’re sure.”

When Max nodded, Adam sat.

“All right, if everyone is settled, we should start,” Matt suggested.

Devon nodded, eager to begin. “Please. How shall we begin?”

“Let’s start with a list of the things that each of you needs for this to work out,” suggested Matt. “You each take a turn, one at a time.”

“I can go,” Peter said. “I need for us to be happy and real honest. Like super-duper honest.”

Devon smiled -- that was his amazing boy. And they all nodded at that. Happiness and truth were the best of their goals.

“Max next,” suggested Swan.

“I need there to be rules that we all get. It makes me nervous when things change.”

Swan nodded, patting his boy, and Devon took note. That was a big one, he was sure.

He went next. “I need to be master to both boys. I don’t want to be questioned or have either sub double-check with Swan.
